An Update on RV Checklist: We're Now a Free PDF Library

RV Checklist has retired its interactive checklist app. Here's what changed, why, and how to get your printable RV checklists today — some free, some email-gated.

An Update on RV Checklist

Hi, and thanks for stopping by RV Checklist — whether you're a longtime user or you just landed here from an old bookmark or a search result. I wanted to write directly to you about a change: the interactive checklist app is retired, and RV Checklist is now a library of printable, downloadable PDF checklists. No app, no account, no subscription — most checklists download instantly, and a few just ask for your email first (more on that below).

Why the change?

I built RV Checklist as a solo project, driven by my own time on the road and the very unglamorous experience of forgetting to unplug shore power or double-check the propane before pulling out. It started as an app with accounts and in-browser interactive checklists, and a lot of RVers used it — I'm genuinely grateful for that.

But honestly, not enough people upgraded to a paid plan to keep the full app running long-term. Rather than let the whole thing quietly disappear, I made the call to strip it down to what people actually leaned on most: the checklists. So instead of shutting down, RV Checklist lives on — smaller, simpler, and free for everyone.

What's available now

Every checklist is a print-ready PDF — pre-trip inspections, departure checklists, seasonal maintenance, de-winterization, and more. To be upfront about how it works: some checklists download instantly and completely free, no strings attached. Others ask for just your email address before unlocking the PDF — that's it, no payment, no account. I use those to build a small mailing list, and the download link shows up right away either way.

There's also a bundle waitlist for folks curious about a possible future paid bundle — a polished, all-in-one PDF pack down the road. It's just a waitlist for now, not a sales pitch, and joining it is completely optional. The individual checklists in the library aren't going anywhere or getting locked behind it.

Browse the full checklist library to find what you need, print it, stick it on the fridge or the dash, and go. And this isn't the end of the road for the library — I plan to keep adding new checklists over time, so it's worth checking back or bookmarking the checklist page.

What if I had an account or saved data?

Account logins and saved in-app checklists are no longer active. If you had a custom checklist saved in the old app, I'm sorry for the disruption — grab the closest matching PDF from the library and tweak it by hand to fit your setup.

Thanks for understanding

I know changes like this are never fun to run into, especially if you were a fan of the app. I appreciate your patience, and I hope the free checklists keep being useful on every trip. If you have questions, run into a broken link, or just want to say hi, reach out through the contact page — I do read them.
