Topic selection and research
Topics come from common trip workflows, gaps in the existing library, and questions or corrections sent by RV owners. During a checklist review, we compare relevant government safety guidance, manufacturer manuals, component documentation, and established RV-industry education. We record the sources that support a published checklist and distinguish general guidance from model-specific instructions.
How that research is actually done: for most published checklists, the source research and comparison above is AI-assisted — directed by the site owner, but not personally cross-checked by the owner against current manufacturer documentation line by line. Each checklist's sources section says which is true for that checklist. Owner-verified checklists are labeled as such; everything else should be read as AI-researched general guidance, not personal expert review, until it says otherwise.
Different RVs require different procedures
RV types, model years, chassis, hitches, appliances, and installed components vary. We scope checklists by RV type where possible, avoid presenting one model's procedure as universal, and route equipment-dependent values or sequences back to the exact labels and manuals.
When a general checklist differs from your current manufacturer documentation, follow the manufacturer documentation. Applicable law and instructions from qualified or emergency personnel also take priority.
Owner feedback and first-hand experience
Owner discussions can reveal commonly missed steps and awkward real-world workflows. We treat that input as qualitative: it can suggest what deserves a prompt, but it does not establish safety limits or equipment instructions. A checklist only labels owner feedback or an independent review when its provenance record supports that statement.
Review, updates, and corrections
Where a completed source review is documented, the checklist page shows its date and consulted sources. No date is shown when one cannot be verified. Corrections are evaluated against current authoritative material, then applied to the web checklist and generated PDF together. Source pages can change, so owners should still consult current documentation.
